The Let Them Theory

I started reading "The Let Them Theory" by Mel Robbins, and I am really enjoying this book so far. I love this because it helps us change our mindset and take control of how we are feeling and how we react to certain situations. Here is what I understand so far.

When you say let them you are realizing that you have no control over what others say or do. When you say let me you are taking control of your reaction to these situations. You are choosing not to focus your energy on things you can't control, and focus on the things you can like your own actions, feelings, and words.

I am not finished with this book yet but I feel this is a great way to begin taking our power back! We let so many things in life that we can't control shape how we feel. When we do that we are giving up our power to these things and people. Remember to be gentle with yourself and know this is a journey that is lifelong. All we can do is try our best and when we slip back into old ways, to pull ourselves back up and begin again.


So I say LET THEM talk, LET THEM think what they want, LET THEM doubt you, LET THEM not like you.


LET US not be affected by their words, LET US know they are fighting their own battles, LET US continue being ourselves, LET US be happy and kind.
